The first thing you must do when planning your Disney vacation is to decide on a budget for your Disney vacation. This will certainly affect which Disney World Hotels are the best options for you and your family. Keep in mind, a Disney vacation does not need to be overly expensive, if you do a little planning. Once you have decided on how much money you want to spend, then, you can decide on the Disney Hotel that is right for you and your family. You pretty much have three major options when selecting any of the hotels near Disney World.

Hotels Near Disney World

Stay on Disney Property at a Disney owned hotel - There are two thoughts here. Some people will tell you that in order to experience all the magic you have to stay at a Disney owned hotel. In all, there are a total of 26 Disney owned hotels ranging from value hotels, moderate hotels, fancy hotels, villas, and camp grounds. If you decide to stay at a Disney owned hotel, this is your most expensive option, some of the fancier properties can cost between $250 and $350 per night. There are two major benefits to staying at a Disney owned hotel: the extra hours and the free shuttle service which runs to and from the parks every thirty minutes.

Stay on the Disney Property at a non - Disney Hotel - There are seven hotels which are located on Disney property, but they are not owned by Disney World. These hotels offer many of the same amenities as the Disney hotels, and they have a great location…the only difference here is price. You can usually stay at a non - Disney owned hotel on Disney World’s property for usually 20% less when compared to staying at Disney World hotels. These hotels still offer the free shuttle service to the parks every thirty minutes, but unfortunately they do not offer the extra hours benefit.

Hotels located off Disney World property - This is my personal favorite option simply for the savings. Disney World is huge - to the toon of 26 square miles - so no matter if you stay on Disney property or not, it will still take you a few minutes to get shuttled or drive to the different parks. The hotels which are not located on Disney World property are usually 50% less, and they offer more amenities to attract guests to stay with them.
