Windwood Bay Townhouses and Pool Homes
The town homes are quite spacious with the living areas down and the bedrooms up. Whether your choice is a three or four bedroom unit, you will not be disappointed in the spaciousness of your accommodation.
Each town home is individually owned and therefore, the investor was responsible for the interior design of his individual unit. We have found that of the ones we visited, all were extremely nice and quite charming. One point to note, many investors of vacation homes come from Europe with the largest portion from the UK. What we have found in looking at their units is that the bed size in many foreign owned properties were a bit sparse in their bedding. It seems that smaller beds (twins and doubles) are preferred over kings and full queens.
The 4BR/3BA units are quite nice and offer a family of even 10 to 12 the ability to spread out and enjoy the vacation with out getting in each other’s way.
The vacation pool homes are extremely attractive ranging in size from 1,800 sq ft up to 4000 sq ft. To give you some comparison the average hotel room is 400 sq ft including the bedroom and bath. With these spacious homes a large family or even two families together can easily be accommodated. The executive pool homes have anywhere from 3 to 6 bedrooms depending on the needs of the client.
Vacation pool homes have become quite popular in the Disney market. Where in the late 1990’s they were first introduced and in 2000 it was recorded that only 2% of those visiting Disney World chose to stay in a private pool home. However, this has changed in the last 7 years. Today, this segment of the lodging business is growing faster than any other in the industry with it being reported that 17% of the public chose a vacation pool home for their lodging needs in 2006.
The reason for the popularity is in the “value” that a vacation pool home offers. Instead of getting two or three adjoining hotel rooms, a party of 10 can rent a fully equipped executive pool home for a fraction of the cost of the rooms at a named brand moderate hotel. Further, there is no kitchen at a hotel, nor a private pool at the hotel. If space is important, it is hard to find a better value than a fully equipped vacation home at Windwood Bay.
You will find each home and town house to be outfitted as you would your own home. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the necessities for preparing for a feast…here you will find stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, pots and pans, glassware, dishes and of course silverware. The beds are fully made and the linen closet will have an extra set of linens. The baths all have extra towels. The laundry is fully equipped with your washer and dryer along with the iron and ironing board….mind you, you must supply the detergent.

They will sell you tickets to Disney World, Seaworld, and Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure at wholesale prices. They will pick up the tickets for you and have them available when you pick up your keys for your home at the Welcome Center. This is a huge convenience and you save huge money to boot.
All in all, vacation homes and town houses similar to the first-class accommodations as offered at Windwood Bay are extremely popular to the average family for here you get: low nightly rates, far more space, and convenience to all major attractions, plus don’t forget your own private pool.
